Every piece is offered through a personal exchange. No payment is taken directly through the website.

2. An enquiry is not an order
Submitting a form, including at the displayed price, expresses an interest and opens a personal exchange. The acknowledgement and its reference confirm only that the request has been recorded. They do not automatically reserve the item and do not constitute acceptance of a sale.
3. Formation of the sale
Before any sale, FOLIA MUNDI confirms availability, condition, the item price, any additional costs, transport, the applicable level of carrier liability or insurance, and payment method in writing. A contract is formed only when both parties expressly agree on those points. Errors can be corrected during this exchange and before final agreement.
4. Description, condition and photographs
Antiquarian books and historical objects bear signs of age and use. The description, any collation reservations, condition information and available photographs form part of the information to review before acquisition. Additional views or a viewing in Switzerland may be requested. A cautious attribution or date remains expressly presented as such.
5. Prices, costs and payment
Item prices are stated in Swiss francs. Transport, specialist packing, insurance, taxes or particular formalities are stated separately when they depend on the destination or the item. The total amount due and payment instructions are confirmed before any funds are requested.
6. Delivery, export and receipt
The delivery method is agreed individually. When an item is shipped, it is documented and packed according to its fragility. Import duty, import VAT and clearance charges are normally payable by the recipient unless otherwise agreed in writing. An item that may qualify as cultural property is subject to the required checks and formalities before export. Details appear on the Shipping and guarantees page.
7. Incident, claim and return
The recipient should inspect the parcel and item on receipt, retain the packing and immediately report any damage or discrepancy from the written confirmation. Mandatory rights under the law applicable to the customer remain unaffected. Outside a right required by that law or a written agreement, no general voluntary return right is granted after a sale completed in accordance with the agreed description.

9. Applicable law
Swiss law applies, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules that cannot lawfully be excluded. The parties first seek an amicable solution. Any mandatory jurisdiction provided by the applicable law remains unaffected.
